Clip Care Guide

A little care goes a long way

Keep away from moisture

Keep your clips dry

An occasional splash is okay, but prolonged exposure to water and moisture will rust the metal hardware and springs over time.

Keep your clips away from the ocean, pools, showers, bathrooms, etc.

If your clip gets wet, dry it fully — especially around the metal spring and hardware.

Keep away from high heat and UV exposure

Keep your clips cool

Avoid leaving your clip in hot cars, intense sunlight, or high heat for long periods of time. Excessive heat can soften the acetate, causing warping, discoloration, or weakening over time.

If it’s too hot for your phone, it’s too hot for your clip.

Avoid overextension

Open your clip gently

Avoid forcing the clip beyond its natural opening range, especially past a 130° angle.

Overextending the clip can place excess stress on the spring/hinges and may lead to loosening or reduced holding strength over time.

When opening your clip, use only the amount of pressure needed to secure your hair.

Store clips in a closed manner

Keep your clips closed

When not in use, we recommend storing your clips in the closed position. Do not leave it clipped onto something like the image depicts.

Leaving a clip open for extended periods keeps the spring under constant tension, which can gradually reduce its strength and place unnecessary strain on the hardware.

A closed clip preserves spring performance and extends the life of your accessory.

Handle with care
